Description
Welcome to episode number 5! In this episode, we will explore street photography which is one of the most challenging, but at the same time one of the most rewarding types of photography. I had the pleasure to sit down with one of the master of this genres, Michael Kistler. Michael is a Hong Kong artist specializing in fine art urban photography and photography education. Originally from Minneapolis, he lived in Tokyo for 10 years before moving to Hong Kong in 2014. A signature element in his work is the often abstract human element and its connection to the city; the urban landscape and its structures provide permanence while people come and go, creating a dynamic environment of fleeting moments. So what exactly we talked about? We tried to understand what is fine street photography and how to develop an eye to capture the right moment in the right place at the right time. We also talked about his cool project - how to mix photography with fashion and graffiti. So if you are looking for new ideas, stay with us!
